McFarland restaurant closed due to cockroach infestation - KGET 17

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Fay Yin restaurant was forced to close its doors after a recent visit from Kern County Public Health Department.

According to a Dec. 12 inspection report, health officials found dead cockroaches throughout the restaurant including underneath kitchen equipment, behind the television in the dining area, and behind a soda machine.

There was also dead cockroaches behind a freezer in the storage area of the facility and on the floors of the storage area, according to public health.

Officials also cited the restaurant for rat droppings under the dish washing station and on the shelf in the storage area.

Fay Yin is located at 137 Lockwood Ave in McFarland.
