Restaurants open for Christmas Eve and Christmas Day; guests, employees talk about Christmastime eating out - WBKO

BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) -- Don't feel like cooking for the holidays? A lot of local restaurants in Bowling Green are working to have folks covered.

Diners and buffets like iHop and Ryan's were open for business on Christmas Eve.

There was a cheerful mood among employees and guests alike. They spoke on how they're celebrating Christmastime.

"At work, we're family. Outside of work, we're family. We all try to keep in touch with each other so, we decided it be cool for everybody to just meet up and have breakfast on Christmas Eve," said Montez Hazel, who dined at IHOP on Christmas Eve.

"Probably the most fun thing is just getting to see, you know, everyone's excitement with it being Christmas. The little kids -- their smiling faces; how happy they are," said Cameron Moore, the general manager of IHOP.

"We also have holiday packs going out. We got a couple that were donated to the less fortunate. We also donated a holiday pack to Bowling Green Fire Department's Greenwood station to let them know that we appreciate everything they do," said Joyce Luke, the general manager of Ryan's.
