Spring version of New Haven Restaurant Week arrives April 7-12 - New Haven Register

It’s a tasty spring tradition for food lovers in the area and it returns Sunday, April 7, through Friday, April 12. New Haven Restaurant Week will feature 29 restaurants, from the well-established (Miya’s Sushi, Goodfellas) to newer arrivals (Olmo, South Bay and Hamilton Park).

You know the drill by now. You eschew much of the decision-making process and choose from a list of three-course, prix fixe offerings at $17 for lunch or $31 for dinner, not including tax or tip. But do call for a reservation.

Other places have these marketing events but New Haven is well-regarded as a foodie place. Organizers say the local promotion was the first and most successful in the state and welcomed close to 30,000 diners from across the region during 2018’s spring and fall installments.

As for parking, we like to find metered parking on the street but Park New Haven will offer a special discounted rate of $5 parking in the Temple Street and Crown Street garages and Granite Square, between 5 p.m. and midnight. (Metered parking is free after 9.) The Shops at Yale will also offer $5 parking at lots located at 255 Crown St. (behind Pacifico & South Bay) and 161 York St. (behind Harvest).
