Sometimes every day feels the same. Monday segues into Tuesday, into Wednesday, you think Thursday is Friday, then you get up to go to work on Saturday ... Well, I have created a list designed to make you look forward to every specific day of the week. Because every day of the week has a restaurant special that will save you money or let you try something new or share a meal with a friend.
They will solve your Monday blues, get you over Wednesday hump day and make you TG that it's Friday.
This is far from a complete list, but here are enough you ought to find something you'll want to try.
MONDAY
This seems to be a good day for cheap pasta, from spaghetti to penne to mac and cheese and ramen.
Via Vite on Fountain Square, Downtown, offers their penne Bolognese for half price at lunch and dinner. (That's $10.50.) This is a very rich version of the traditional Italian meat sauce. It's creamy enough to be pink, mixed with al dente penne, topped at the table with fresh grated Parmesan. You can get a meatball, too, and they're delicious, with a hint of lemon peel in the mix. The day I ate this, I didn't get hungry again until about 10 p.m.

Nicola's in Over-the-Rhine, also has "Bolo Monday," with their Bolognese sauce on homemade tagliatelle noodles, with a house or Caesar salad for $15. (This might be my favorite special on this whole list.)
Spaghetti-a-plenty is the La Rosa's Monday and Tuesday special at locations all over town. It's all the spaghetti (definitely not al dente) and plain tomato sauce you want, along with salad and breadsticks or garlic bread for $4.99. That's cheap! Meatballs are extra.
Keystone Bar and Grill and their offshoot, the Mac Shack, offers their large mac and cheese, in all its varieties, at half-price with purchase of a drink. (Normally $10-$13.) Lots of locations.
Also: Goodfella's offers half-price 12-inch pizzas on Monday, and it's one of the days you can hit the fried chicken buffet with traditional sides at Ron's Roost in Green Township for $11.99 (the other is Tuesday), and then there's ramen night at Northside Yacht Club, and it's $8 margherita pizzas all day at MidiCi pizza, Downtown.
TUESDAY
It's Taco Tuesday, of course: Tortilleria Garcia, which makes tacos from tortillas made in the store, has $1 Taco Tuesday. It's available in Springdale, and also at their new location in College Hill, too.
Burger nights can be any night of the week. It's Tuesday at Nine Giant, the microbrewery in Pleasant Ridge. They dream up some kind of special theme and toppings for the grass-fed beef burger, say a Frisco burger or a lamb burger with Thai lemongrass curry and arugula with scallion-mint vinaigrette. It's less about the price than the creativity.
Taste of Belgium, in all their locations, offers all-you-can-eat mussels and frites for $15 starting at 4 p.m., plus half-price bottles of wine. There's your evening's entertainment right there. It's two-for Tuesday at MidiCi, Downtown. A free margherita pizza with any other pizza or pasta entree.
More: Lucky you, Cincinnati. Arby's is testing a new Easter meal here. And it's huge
It's pasta Tuesday at Butcher and Barrel, the Argentinian-inspired restaurant Downtown. That means you can get their short rib over truffled gnocchi for $15.50. Their sister restaurant, Alfio's in Hyde Park, offers half-price ravioli. There are two crawfish boil choices on Tuesdays. One is at Brew River, the gastropub in Linwood, the other at Knotty Pine on the Bayou in Cold Spring. Boiled crawfish, potatoes, corn ... A glorious mess.
The Incline Public House in East Price Hill offers 2 pints of beer and one pizza for $20. The family-style fried chicken buffet at Greyhound Tavern in Fort Mitchell is on Monday and Tuesdays, it's $16.50.
WEDNESDAY
Zola Pub in Covington has been serving excellent burgers for a long time. On Wednesdays, any burger on their menu is $6, like the Zola burger with bacon, grilled onion, sauteed mushrooms and American cheese. $6 is not a lot for this delicious burger. (Reminder: you can smoke inside, but they have some tables on the sidewalk.)
It's brupper night at Frisch's, when their breakfast buffet is on from 4-10 p.m. All you can eat. Including bacon, of course! $7.59.
Karrikin, the distillery and restaurant in Fairfax with fun, casually-served but surprisingly sophisticated food, has a weeknight date special: a chicken dinner, two side dishes and "bottle service" (a bottle of one of their cocktails) for $50.
THURSDAY
Court Street Lobster Bar, Downtown, is known for their lobster roll, but they make other sandwiches, too. To get you to try them, they have a seafood flight on Thursdays. It's three sliders: their lobster roll, the sriracha crab roll and the salmon roll with fried leeks, for $14. It's the equivalent of a roll and a half. All on beautiful soft toasted rolls.
Arnold's has been doing a Thanksgiving dinner on Thursdays for decades. It's Thanksgiving on a plate, with shredded roast turkey breast, good lumpy mashed potatoes, heavily saged stuffing, green beans, cranberry sauce and gravy. 11 a.m.-3 p.m., though it usually sells out before that. It's $9.25.
More: Last chance fish fries. Check the list
Somm in Price Hill has $1 oysters. It's burger night at Dutch's in Hyde Park, when they whip up a special burger. There's a crawfish boil at Swampwater Grill in Columbia Tusculum on Thursday, with crab, shrimp and crawfish. At Chez Renee, the French restaurant in Milford, they go full-on French with snails persillade for $9.99 and frog legs persillade for $19.90.
It's all-you-can-eat ribs at El Coyote in Anderson Township.
Thursday is pork shank night at Urban Grill in Milford, among several special entree nights there. It's beer-braised, slow-roasted pork shank on top of candied bacon, smoked cheddar grits.
FRIDAY
Late-night brunch at Taste of Belgium: The brunch menu from 11 p.m.-1 a.m., with $2 off mimosas and bloody marys. Friday and Saturday, OTR location only.
Jag's Steak and Seafood in West Chester has a nice Friday night date dinner for 2. It's three courses; appetizer, salad and entree, for $99. Includes choices like crab cakes, salmon and scallops.
More: They had dreams of owning a restaurant. Now they make potato chips
If you're a big eater, this may be the best deal anywhere: The buffet at Jack Casino, Downtown, is $7.77 on Mondays and Fridays if you get a casino loyalty card, which is free.
SATURDAY
Friday and Saturdays are the only days to get lobster rolls at 20 Brix in Milford. They have a full 5 ounces of lobster in a brown butter lemon mayo, they come with fries and are $28. Fridays and Saturdays are also the only days to get prime rib at El Coyote in Anderson Township.
SUNDAY
Burger Madness at Arthur's Cafe in Hyde Park and Anderson means you can get any burger, usually $8 or $9 plain, with any topping (which usually cost fifty cents or a dollar) for $8.99. As the menu says, please limit cheeses to six.
Sunday is burger night at Bishop's Quarter in Loveland. A craft burger creation is $5.
It's $1 wings at Pontiac BBQ in Over-the-Rhine, and it's pot roast night at Urban Grill. Blinker's Tavern in Covington has a half-slab of ribs dinner for $16.95 and a steak dinner for $19.95.
