Butner, N.C. — Three people were shot at a restaurant in Butner on Friday night, authorities said Saturday.
The shooting was reported to have occurred during a rapper’s release party at the Carolina Chicken and BBQ Restaurant on N.C. Highway 56, Butner’s public safety department said.
More than 100 people were at the scene, officials said.
The victims were transported to Duke Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
Shots were fired inside and outside the restaurant, and investigators found more than 40 shell casings and eight firearms at the scene.
Authorities have identified suspects in the shooting, officials said, and the shooting is still under investigation.
