New Neighborhood Restaurant/Party Bar Oseyo Is Coming to East Austin - Eater Austin

East Austin is getting a new restaurant and bar whenever Oseyo opens in the old Los Huaraches space on 1628 East Cesar Chavez Street.

The new restaurant is meant to work as a daytime neighborhood restaurant and nighttime party bar with “delicious, nourishing food,” drinks, and DJs, according to a Poached listing for a general manager two months ago.

“Local chefs” will be involved, as the Poached listing noted, but exactly who isn’t known yet. The open kitchen will feature a wood-burning grill. The word oseyo is Korean for “please come in.”

Eater has reached out for more information; watch this space for updates.

The Mexican restaurant Los Huaraches was suddenly demolished for the new Oseyo building. The restaurant will have an “industrial-chic” feel, with a courtyard filled with plants and a private dining room with karaoke and a DJ booth.

Involved in Oseyo are the owners: real estate development company Brandon Miller Group and JWI Ventures, LLC. Working on the build-out is John King Construction.
