As temperatures are expected to drop throughout the week, many businesses are closing their doors for a couple days.
Big Sky Restaurant in Stoughton, however, is not closing Wednesday night. Instead, the restaurant plans to host a free chili fundraiser to support the Stoughton Fire Department.
Nancy Crowley, a co-owner of Big Sky Restaurant, says the restaurant decided to do a fundraiser for "those that cannot close when the weather gets bad."
The restaurant will be providing free beef chili and cornbread Wednesday from 5 to 6 p.m. or until supplies last. All of the beef was donated by local Vindicator Brand Pasture-Raised Beef out of Stoughton and everything else was donated by Big Sky Restaurant.
Big Sky won't be taking reservations as the event will be first come, first served. All donations given Wednesday will be given to the Stoughton Fire Department.
