JOPLIN, Mo. - Sunday was the final day to give donations for Crosslines Ministries' emergency food pantry.
While donation numbers are not counted just yet, Crosslines' Executive Director Rodney Rambo says this is definitely the biggest fundraiser so far.
A record number 25 restaurants participated, and several community organizations lended a hand with picking up donations and sorting cans. Volunteers from Rooted Church helped, just wanting to give back by doing the Lord's work.
Rooted Church Volunteer Dustin Dixon says, "God asks us to be His hands and feet, and so an opportunity for us to play a role in something as big as this restaurant week has been is really cool."
Crosslines Ministries Executive Director Rodney Rambo says, "It's just been really cool to see not only our local business partners through our restaurant owners, but just them partnering with the local church, and even today we just kind of see that intersect and that's been really cool to see."
JOMO Restaurant Week is the largest fundraiser Crosslines Ministries hosts each year to stock the pantry for community members in need.
