Roach activity, lack of training forces China Garden to close
Inspectors closed China Garden at 5947 Pine Ridge Road in Naples on Jan. 2 after citing the restaurant for several violations including roach activity, and raw meat stored over ready-to-eat food in the walk-in cooler A stop sale order was issued to the restaurant after a dead roach was found on top of tofu in the reach-in cooler.
One of the biggest problems preventing the restaurant from reopening was that it had no proof of required state-approved employee training. A followup inspection regarding the employee training has been extended, but in the meantime, the restaurant has reopened.
