In 2019, Kings Island will open a new restaurant in the Rivertown area of the park.
Miami River Brewhouse will be located directly across from Mystic Timbers and will feature beer from local breweries alongside a selection of sandwiches and premium burgers.
The park will officially open for the 2019 season on April 20 and plenty of work has been going on in the offseason.
“In 2018 we opened Coney Bar B Que, featuring ribs, pulled pork, rotisserie chicken and other barbecue favorites,” Kings Island’s Executive Chef James Major said. “This season, with the addition of Miami River Brewhouse, we’re continuing to build on a dining experience that guests will talk about long after their visit to Kings Island.”

Menu items for Miami River Brewhouse include:
- Pull Apart Bread – cheddar, garlic butter, scallions with beer mustard and "sri-rancha"
- That’s One Big Pretzel – Bavarian twist with bacon jam and beer cheese
- Texas Bahn Mi – smoked beef, cucumber, carrot, cilantro with 'sri-mayo' served on French bread
- London’s Bridge – fried cod, cheese, tartar sauce served with super slaw
- Big Bacon Burger – a double patty burger with Havarti cheese, candied onion, bacon jam and sliced bacon
- Impossible Burger – vegan burger with herb mustard, cucumber, lettuce, tomato and onion
As if Kings Island wasn't doing enough work in the offseason already, International Street is getting a renovation.
The entry into Kings Island will get its "first complete makeover since the park opened," according to park officials. Even the Royal Fountain will get a makeover.
"No element of the street will be left untouched," officials said.
The park is also rebuilding rollercoaster cars and building Kings Mills Antique Autos, a ride opening this spring in the Coney Mall area of the park.
