Argument leads to shooting at Yard House restaurant in Northridge; 1 person hospitalized - LA Daily News

NORTHRIDGE — One person was wounded Sunday night in a shooting at the Yard House restaurant at the Northridge Fashion Center.

The shooting occurred at 8:08 p.m. and grew out of an argument, according to Officer D. Orris of the Los Angeles Police Department’s Operations Center.

The victim’s age, gender and condition were not available. ABC7 reported the victim was taken to a trauma center and the suspect was at large.

The suspect was described as a 20-35 year-old man with a gray jacket who ran out of the restaurant after the shooting, Orris said.

The gunman was part of a group of between five and 10 men who had gotten into an argument with each other inside the restaurant, said Joshua Collins, a man who posted video of the shooting to Twitter. The suspect was shoved into the witnesses’s table and challenged to fight by a person who briefly left the building.

When that man returned, the gunman punched him and one other person in the face, Collins said. He added that blows were exchanged, and at some point the suspect shot one person in the abdomen at point-blank range before fleeing.
