'Restaurant: Impossible' receives an 'overwhelming' response for upcoming Grand Rapids appearance - MLive.com

GRAND RAPIDS, MI -- Who knew?

Producers of the Food Network’s “Restaurant: Impossible" said there is already a waiting list for volunteers and diners when the show arrives to transform Chez Olga in Eastown.

On Tuesday, producers announced a call sheet for volunteers and diners when host and chef Robert Irvine brings his show May 19-20, 2019 to Grand Rapids

Late Tuesday night, producers said they have received a “record breaking” and “overwhelming response.”

They are already turning people away.

The call sheet asked for skilled volunteers willing to work various shifts, and diners, who are willing to fill the restaurant once the job is complete. Diners still have to pay their own bills.

More details on what producers were looking for and how to get on the waiting list in the link below:

Producers say Irvine and his crew will be in town to help out Chez Olga, which on Facebook says it is a “Creole and Caribbean restaurant located in the heart of the eccentric and diverse neighborhood of Eastown.”

It is located at 1441 Wealthy St. SE.

“Restaurant: Impossible” airs at 9 p.m. Saturdays on the Food Network. It is hosted by Irvine, whose goal is “to save America’s most desperate restaurants from impending failure in just two days with only $10,000.”
