Armed robber hits Sarasota restaurant - Sarasota Herald-Tribune

SARASOTA COUNTY — An armed robber struck Friday night at the Chick-Fil-A restaurant on Fruitville Road, the Sarasota County Sheriff's Office reports. No one was harmed in the incident.

According to the report, the robber entered the restaurant in the 5300 block of Fruitville Road around 10:11 p.m. and demanded money from the employees while displaying a silver semi-automatic pistol. The suspect then fled on foot, in an unknown direction.

The robber was described as a white male in his late 20's or early 30's, about 6 foot tall and slim, and with slight facial hair. He was wearing a dark jacket and pants, a black cap with a Superman 'S' logo and gloves. He was wearing a yellow bandana across his face.

No employees or customers were injured during the incident, which remains under investigation.
