HEARNE, Tex. (KBTX)- Blue Moon BBQ in Hearne is worried that their business will take a hit because of the construction project planned on the main road leading to their restaurant.
OSR east and westbound lanes will be closed starting Monday morning, diverting traffic around Blue Moon.
The family-run BBQ joint has been around for over 12 years, and they say they are scared but believe their business wants to remain optimistic.
“The easy way out is to shut the doors, but you know, our customers have treated us well out here they’ve taken care of us, id like to think we’ve taken care of them”
Blue moon bbq says they are looking at options such as delivery and putting up maps of the backroads on their facebook page.
The project is expected to be finished in July 2020
