Which Treasure Coast restaurants passed inspection in January? - TCPalm

Full restaurant inspection records can be viewed by using TCPalm's digital database of restaurant inspections. 

The up-to-date database, searchable by restaurant name or county, lists the establishments that passed, failed or barely passed the inspections run by the Division of Hotels and Restaurants.  

Each inspection is a "snapshot" of conditions present at the time of the inspection and may not be representative of the overall, long-term conditions at the establishment. 

Indian River County

One restaurant in Indian River County, Cafe 66 at 870 66th Avenue Southwest, Vero Beach, passed inspection in January with no violations.

12 restaurants in Indian River County did not pass inspection in January.

Beef O'Brady's, 782 South US 1 in Vero Beach, had the most overall violations, with 28. Grease accumulated in the mop sink, grease accumulated on the kitchen floor and under cooking equipment and the interior of a microwave was encrusted in food debris. The interior of a reach-in fridge was soiled with accumulated food residue.

Martin County

Eight eating establishments in Martin County passed inspection with zero violations:

  • South Florida Shooting Club, 500 SW Long Drive, Palm City
  • Best Western Downtown Stuart, 1209 US 1 South, Stuart
  • McDonald's, 970 SE Federal Highway, Stuart
  • Treasure Coast Mall Stadium 16, 3290 NW Federal Highway, Jensen Beach
  • Jeanne Dexter's Catering Kitchen, 2413 SE Dixie Highway, Stuart
  • Ooo La La Concepts in Cookery, 2413 SE Dixie Highway, Stuart
  • Heirloom Entrees, 2413 SE Dixie Highway, Stuart
  • Goodfellas Hot Dogs, 4189 SW High Meadows Ave., Palm City

28 restaurants in Martin County did not pass inspection in January.

Andre Barbecue, 2475 SE Bonita St, Stuart, had the most overall violations, 18, with food debris and standing water on the floor, beef tongue and raw beef thawed overnight in a bucket of water at 62 degrees, and several other food items held at potentially dangerous temperatures.

St. Lucie County

Four places that serve food in St. Lucie County passed inspection with zero violations:

  • Taco Drive, 208 North 2nd St., Fort Pierce
  • Chick-Cuisine, 1690 SE Village Green Drive, Port St Lucie
  • Grip and Rip Golf Range, 3847 North U.S. 1, Fort Pierce
  • Courtyard by Marriott, 10978 S. Ocean Drive, Jensen Beach

23 restaurants in St. Lucie County did not pass inspection in January.

Pappys Pizza, at 5489 Saint James Dr, Port St. Lucie had the most overall violations with 33, including standing water in the mop sink, pizza boxes stored on a dirty floor and black-green mold-like substance in the ice machine.

Fines

INDIAN RIVER COUNTY

Subway, 9609 N U.S. 1, Sebastian, was fined $150 for four violations in September 2018.

Mulligans Beach House Bar & Grill, 1025 Beachland Blvd, Vero Beach, was fined $640 for four violations in October 2018.

Original Mama Mia's Kitchen, 1920 14th Ave., Vero Beach, was fined $320 for one violation in August 2018.

Patio Restaurant, 1103 21st Street, Vero Beach, was fined $100 for three violations in February 2018.

MARTIN COUNTY

Mulligans Beach House Bar & Grill, 2019 NE Jensen Beach Blvd in Jensen Beach, was fined $160 on Jan. 11 for one violation after a series of inspections in December 2018.

ST. LUCIE COUNTY

Spice Thai Restaurant, 270 NW Peacock Blvd. Suite 108, Port St Lucie, was fined $120 for one violation in October 2018.

Little Caesars, 4019 SW Port St. Lucie Blvd., Unit 1, Port St Lucie, was fined $400 for two violations in August, 2018.

Raziyah Caribbean Cuisine Inc., 214 N 25 St, Fort Pierce, was fined $700 for two violations in May 2018.
