WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) - Washington-based restaurant, "Mom's Grill," has been recognized in "Our State Magazine" for having some of the best biscuits in North Carolina.
The magazine just released an article following the best biscuits in NC.
Helen Keys, the kitchen manager at Mom's Grill, says this is an honor for her and her staff.
"When you try us, you will never try nobody else because we are the best," she said.
For 32 years, Keys has been perfecting her famous cheese biscuit recipe.
"You gotta make them happy and they will come back."
Each morning she makes around 325 handmade biscuits -- ready to go before the morning 6am rush.
"If you come in sad you are leaving happy."
Visit Mom's Grill along John Small Ave. in Washington. They open at 6am on weekdays and Saturdays and 7am on Sundays.
