Here's the breakdown for recent inspections in Collier County:

Anthony's Mexican Restaurant closed temporarily

Food stored at unsafe temperatures led to an emergency order and temporarily closure at Anthonys Mexican Restaurant, 103 E. Main Street in Immokalee. The restaurant received 19 violations on Feb. 17 ranging from an employee touching ready-to-eat food with their bare hands and "temperature abuse" issues with beef and soup. The restaurant was inspected again on Feb. 19 but did not meet inspection standards, so another inspection was required. In a third inspection Feb. 23, the restaurant accrued 12 more violations and was ordered shut. Food continued to be stored at improper temperatures, and sewage wastewater was backing up through drains between the main kitchen and other sinks where employees walk regularly. The restaurant met inspection standards in a fourth inspection Feb. 24, but time was extended on some basic and intermediate violations.

More violations

Additional restaurants with the most violations from recent weeks include Fish Restaurant, 4360 Gulf Shore Blvd. N. Unit #600, Naples with 22 violations. Clams played a big role in high priority violations — the restaurant was cited for being unable to verify the source of their "shell stock," which resulted in a stop-sale order on a bag of clams. The restaurant was also cited for not tagging clams and oysters in chronological order or with the last date they were served. Fish Restaurant was given a time extension on its basic and intermediate violations during a followup inspection March 1, but an additional inspection will be required.

Among the other Collier County restaurants accumulating the most violations were Green Apron Cafe, 771 Airport Road #3, Naples with 20 violations; Costa Verde Peruvian Restaurant, 4859 Golden Gate Parkway, Naples with 18 violations; and Roma In Havana Ristorante, 1025 W Main St., Immokalee with 18 violations.

Steak 'N Shake, 2620 Pine Ridge Road; Tropic Chill Deli, 75 Ninth St. S., Naples; and Burntwood Tavern, 9110 Strada Place #6135, Naples each accrued 17 violations.

Roma In Havana was given a time extension on basic and intermediate violations during a followup inspection, but an additional inspection will be required. Green Apron Cafe, Steak 'N Shake and Burntwood Tavern each passed followup inspections in late February. Followup inspections are still pending for Costa Verde and Tropic Chill Deli.
