Four people hurt, man opens fire inside Denny's restaurant near Syracuse - MyTwinTiers.com

SALINA, N.Y. (WSYR-TV) - Two people were shot and two others were hurt inside the Denny’s Restaurant at the corner of South Bay Road and Lawrence Road East in the Town of Salina early Sunday morning.

Onondaga County Sheriff’s deputies said it was around 4 a.m. when a man entered the restaurant armed with a handgun and then he began to account another man before shooting him.

The suspect began to open fire on a group of customers and employees. Two others were wound.

According to deputies, two of the shooting victims were taken to Upstate University Hospital where they are being treated for non-life- threatening injuries. A third victim was also taken to the Upstate University Hospital for a non-shooting injury. A fourth person was hurt and treated at the scene for a minor arm injury.

Deputies said the suspect took off from the restaurant in an unknown direction.

Witnesses described the suspect as a black man in his 20s, approximately 5’7” and 180 pounds.

Detectives are still investigating the shooting and ask anyone with information to contact the Onondaga County Sheriff’s tip line at 315-435-3051 or by sending a tip via Tip411.
