Restaurants looking to be featured during the 2019 Birmingham Restaurant Week still have a chance to register. Applications for the 10-day culinary event are still open and will close on July 1.
Currently in its 10th year, the culinary event featuring restaurants from around the city returns on Aug. 16 to the 25. For its 10 anniversary, Birmingham Restaurant Week will accept 60 restaurants into the culinary affair, with the goal to showcase all the ways they are feeding the city – from" filling vacant spaces and creating locally-sourced dishes to mentoring the next generation of culinary greats," event organizers said in a press release.
Participation is available on a first-come, first-served basis. There are currently 10 restaurants in the Birmingham Restaurant Week lineup, including Freddy’s Wine Bar, Brat Brot, Saw’s Soul Kitchen.
