In Lee County: North Fort Myers restaurant amasses close to 30 violations
Here's the breakdown for recent inspections in Collier County:
Three restaurants close temporarily
Bayshore Restaurant Bar & Grill, 4000 Bayshore Drive Unit A, Naples closed temporarily on May 20 after inspectors found five to seven flies in the kitchen and prep area. Additionally, 10 to 15 live roaches were found in a cooler in the restaurant's kitchen area. A dead roach was also found in the reach-in cooler. The restaurant was inspected again on May 21. Time was extended on some violations, but the restaurant was allowed to reopen and a third inspection will be required.
Another restaurant that closed temporarily in Collier County in recent weeks was Island Gypsy Cafe and Marina, 292 Capri Blvd., Naples. The restaurant received 18 violations during an inspection on May 21. Live, flying insects were observed in the bar and kitchen area, and cheddar cheese was stored at improper temperatures. Additionally, raw food was stored over ready-to-eat food. The restaurant was inspected again on May 22 and received three more violations, including an administrative complaint about more flies in the bar area. After correcting that violation, the restaurant eventually met standards and reopened that day.
Camellia Street Grill, 202 Camellia St., Everglades City closed May 14 after inspectors found 25 to 40 rodent droppings on top of a refrigerator near a sink and soda dispenser. Raw chicken and seafood salad were served at improper temperatures and clams, mussels and oysters were not properly tagged. The restaurant was inspected again on May 15. Time was extended on basic and intermediate violations, but the restaurant was allowed to reopen and a third inspection will be required.
More violations
Among the other Collier County restaurants accumulating the most violations in recent weeks were Mana Restaurant Guatemex, 275 New Market St. E., Immokalee with 19 violations; Gators Crossroads, 19800 U.S. 41 E., Naples with 18 violations; Erin's Isle, 5375 Hibiscus Drive, Naples with 19 violations; Panda Pavilion Restaurant, 1805 U.S. 41 N., Naples with 15 violations; Paradise Found, 401 Papaya St., Goodland with 15 violations; The Crooked Shillelagh, 3340 U.S. 41 E., Naples with 14 violations; and China Garden, 5947 Pine Ridge Road, Naples with 14 violations.
Mana Restaurant Guatemex was inspected again on May 16. Time was extended on basic and intermediate violations, and a third inspection will be required. Gators Crossroads and Erin's Isle met standards during inspections on May 23. Panda Pavillion has not had its followup inspection yet. Paradise Found was inspected again on May 17. Time was extended on two of its violations, and a third inspection will be required. The Crooked Shillelagh met standards during an inspection on May 16. China Garden has not had its followup inspection yet.

The good news
The area restaurant that received zero violations was 3 Pepper Burrito Company, 1514 Immokalee Road No. 116, Naples. Cousins Maine Lobster, Quail Creek Mobile and The Great Foodinias Mobile Bistro food trucks also received zero violations.
