Restaurant building sells for big bucks - AL.com

The former Bill’s by the Beach restaurant building on an acre at 300 W. Beach Blvd., in Gulf Shores has sold to a local investment group for $2.7 million, according to Lydia Franz of Re/Max of Orange Beach, who handled the transaction. Venture Group LLC purchased the 5,756-square-foot restaurant built in 2014. Venture’s managing partner is Shaul Zislin, owner of The Hangout in Gulf Shores and the Surf Style stores along the Gulf Coast. The property features 470 front feet on Beach Boulevard and also includes a 3,000-square-foot duplex.

A developer paid $2.3 million for about an acre on the corner of East 1st Avenue in Gulf Shores stretching to East Beach Boulevard in Gulf Shores, according to Vallas Realty, which represented the buyer. The purchase includes three houses on the land and features 150 front feet on E. 1st Avenue and the beach road. The buyer will use the property for future development. Inge & Associates represented the seller.

The local franchisee of Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers paid $910,000 for a 1.05 acre parcel on Ala. 181 in Spanish Fort, according to Charlie Christmas of Christmas Properties, who handled the transaction. The property is next to the new Hank’s Furniture and south of U.S. 31 and the Eastern Shore Centre. Freddy’s is based in Wichita, KS., and has 380 locations in 30 states.

Rich’s Car Wash paid $420,000 for a 1.02 acre in front of the Walmart on Ala. 59 in Robertsdale, according to Charlie Christmas of Christmas Properties, who represented the buyer. John Hogue of Map Developments in Birmingham worked for the sellers.

Mugshots Grill & Bar has opened a 7,000-square-foot restaurant on 2 acres adjacent to the new Publix supermarket off Ala. 158 in Saraland, according to Buff Teague of JLL, who represents Mugshots in the Southeast. This marks Mugshots 18th location including a recently opened restaurant in Pensacola, Fl.
