Here's the breakdown for recent inspections in Collier County:
Fify's Caribbean Cuisine closes temporarily (again)
Fify's, 320 Alachua St., Immokalee, closed temporarily Aug. 22 for the second time this year. The restaurant closed in May for two weeks. This time, inspectors issued a stop sale on rice, pork, vegetable cooked paste and noodles held at improper temperatures. Inspectors also determined there weren't an inadequate number of cold holding units to maintain food that needed to be refrigerated and held at certain temperatures. Inspectors returned on Aug. 23. Time was extended on basic and intermediate violations, but the restaurant met standards and reopened.

Administrative complaint recommended at Popeye's
Popeyes No. 12055, 11965 Collier Blvd., Naples, was issued an administrative complaint Aug. 30 after inspectors found six to 10 live flies in the food preparation and storage areas. The insects landed on food preparation counters and sealed boxes of shortening. Corrective action was taken when the store's operator purchased fly traps, but a second inspection is required.
