DEKALB COUNTY, Ga. - An armed robber is on the run after a shootout outside a fast-food restaurant.
Police say a man with a gun walked into Mrs. Winner's Chicken and Biscuits on Glenwood Road near I-285 Thursday afternoon and immediately began firing shots at the people inside.
He demanded money from customers and then took off. No one inside the store was hit.
A nearby store owner heard the shots and grabbed his own gun.
"About two gunshots and I quickly rushed down and I saw the rest of the workers running," he told Channel 2's Kristen Holloway.

As the robber left the restaurant, the store owner opened fire and the robber fired back several times as he jumped into a car and drove away.
"As soon as I stepped over there, the guy started shooting, shooting at me and then I fired back," he said.
No one at the restaurant was injured. It’s unknown if the robber was shot.
Friday morning, several bullet holes could be seen in the glass. The restaurant's drive-thru opened on Friday, but customers were not allowed inside.
Police have not released a description of the shooter, but there are visible cameras both inside and outside Mrs. Winner's that may have captured the incident. We are checking with police for more information.
