Eric Trump spit on by employee at upscale Chicago restaurant - Washington Examiner

Son of President Trump, Eric, was spit on by an employee of upscale Chicago cocktail bar and eatery The Aviary. The incident was first reported by Mary Ann Ahern of NBC 5 Chicago, who tweeted, "Hearing of incident at Aviary tonight, an employee allegedly spit on son of @realDonaldTrump who is visiting Chicago, offender now in US Secret Service custody." She further posted images of Eric Trump leaving The Aviary with his Secret Service team being assisted by the Chicago Police Department.

Eric referred to the Tuesday evening incident as a "disgusting act by somebody who clearly has emotional problems" in comments made to Breitbart. He further stated, "For a party that preaches tolerance, this once again demonstrates they have very little civility. When somebody is sick enough to resort to spitting on someone, it just emphasizes a sickness and desperation and the fact that we’re winning."

The disgruntled employee was removed by Secret Service and taken into custody. Police arrived a short time later. Whether or not the spitter will face charges has yet to be made clear.

The Aviary, a place where bartenders are called 'chef,' is known for it's painstakingly created cocktails and high-end snacks that use "molecular gastronomy." Located in the trendy Fulton Market District, The Aviary is owned by Grant Achatz, who is famed for his Chicago fine dining restaurants Alinea and Next as well as several celebrated restaurant projects outside of Chicago. Neither Achatz or The Aviary have not publicly commented on the incident.
